As I mentioned
earlier, this article serves as a practical supplement to the article
I wrote for the print version of Computers and Composition.
So, the reader may not understand completely the assignments or the
theorization behind them, but I hope it is clear that the assignments
are sequential, always building on prior knowledge. It is this set
of sequenced assignments that, I hope, have encouraged my students
to open signifiers to new meanings and new possibilities in a space
where they have found new relations to the world and its inhabitants.
