Scholarship in composition pedagogy encourages inclusion of instruction in discourses that students will use in upper division coursework as well as with multimodal composing tools. In an effort to help instructors overcome the intimidation of assessing multimodal projects, this Webtext describes how to assess PowerPoint slide shows. It provides criteria that can be used for such assessment that is derived from criteria for assessing traditional print-linguistic texts as well as criteria used for assessing slide shows.
