Author Bios

Dr. Margaret Weaver is the Director of Composition and a Professor of English at Missouri State University. Her areas of expertise include writing center studies, feminist theory, and basic writing. Her work has appeared in such publications as Writing Center Journal, Journal of Advanced Composition and Journal of General Education. She has served on the MWCA Board and received the IWCA Best Article of the Year Award in 2005.


Dr. Leslie Seawright is an Associate Professor of English and Assistant Director of Composition at Missouri State University. Her areas of expertise include technical writing, transnational writing pedagogy, and workplace writing. Her work has appeared in such publications as IEEE Transactions in Professional Communication and Business Communication Research and Practice. Studies in Writing and Rhetoric, an arm of NCTE, published her manuscript, Genre of Power: Writers and Readers in the Justice System.


Taylor Ladd is a graduate student at Missouri State University working towards an MA in Professional and Technical Writing. Her focus areas in technical communication include digital content writing, food writing, and document design.
