Student Features Why/How TJP? Teacher Approaches Contact
Inexperienced or experienced computer users find TJP easy yet powerful.

Teachers can edit or comment (inter- or intratextually) on any student entry (Pictures H and I).

Teachers can quickly group students by interest using the "Search Student Journals" feature (Picture E).  TJP will generate a list of students who have expressed an interest in a particular topic, listing name, date and time of entry, as well as generating active comment links in each listing for teachers to correspond with students.  This feature is ideal for forming collaborative teams.

"Display Word Counts" allows teachers to enter precise time intervals, down to the minute, and then lists the entire class and how much they have written in that particular interval (Picture F).

Teachers can add their syllaweb to TJP so that when their students login, they also see the syllaweb.  Or instead of a syllaweb, teachers can also use the power of the Internet by linking timely readings from Web resources such as Time.com or employ online novels or texts (See Student Features, Picture E; Single Journal, Picture A).
