After our piece appeared here, we realized (thanks to a collaborative discussion among the authors, the CCO editors, and others concerned about copyright issues ) that we left a bizarre blind spot in this article about Open Source methods and pedagogy. Despite calling for Open publishing models, we failed to institute such a model on our own article. Thus, we have decided to apply a Creative Commons license to this article. We extend our thanks to those who offered questions about the piece (and continue to do so), as well as the editors at C&C Online, who have been nothing but enthusiastic about adding the license.
