Jen Almjeld is an assistant professor of English at New Mexico State University specializing in rhetoric, digital media, and identity. Jen has taught a variety of technology-rich classes in journalism, speech, composition, and graduate seminars. In her spare time, she is an avid user of Facebook and also enjoys spending time with her XBox360 (when it isn't broken).
Seth Myers is a Ph.D. student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication at New Mexico State University. He struggles to find his focus in a balance between rhetoric, composition, and cultural studies. Seth uses and enjoys technology, but finds himself cussing out his machines more than he probably ought. He also likes bicycling, hiking, camping, and reading moldy real-paper books.
Nate Daniel is currently working towards an M.A. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. His hobbies include writing, drawing, jazz, history, and mythology. He is an avid gamer, going so far as to write and design an entire wiki about a few of his favorite games. He is also a frequent contributor to TV Tropes. He finds it strange to talk about himself in the third person, so he's just going to hit Save now.
Bryan Lindenberger drew short stories before he learned to write them. He goofed around in Nevada for 12 years before coming to NMSU for his MA in RPC. Today he researches and writes business plans, real estate articles, stuff for the COE, or anything else folks will kindly pay him to do. He still writes goofy stories and reads Philip K. Dick...hikes, bikes, and etc.
Bonnie Chapman is an instructor at DACC. She loves interacting with students and learning new ways to engage and inspire their minds. She is pursuing her MA in Rhetoric and Professional Communication. Originally, she considered pursuing her MFA because she loves creative writing, but she felt Rhetoric would be a little more applicable to her profession. When she is not working or going to school, she enjoys reading, writing, shopping (especially on E-Bay), and finding projects that incorporate fun technology (i.e. video cameras and editing software :) She also enjoys video games and hanging out with her youth group at church.
Jennifer Bracken Scott is a Ph.D. student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication at New Mexico State University. She specializes in technical and professional communication, and teaches courses in this field as well as in composition. Between coursework and teaching, she enjoys Twittering (tweeting?) and redistributing the gems of the Internet through her Facebook feed.
Santiago Lopez is in the M.A. Program in Creative Writing - Poetry at NMSU. He has poems forthcoming in the premiere and second issue of The New Mexico Poetry Review as well as the literary journal Palabra. His work is influenced by cinema, music, art, and the creators' lives of these mediums. Santiago hikes at the hottest time of the day, misses pho & good Chinese food, and is unable to figure out why people in Las Cruces walk down the half the sidewalk he has always walked up. The moment he graduates will create a dust cloud as Santiago high-tails it back to Houston, Texas where he lives with his wife, Bishan.
Robin Korody is in the MA in RPC with a focus on Composition. Robin is trying to find a balance between the roles of wife, mother, and student which can sometimes be a difficult task. In her time at NMSU, she has focused on how new media can be successfully incorporated in the composition classroom, and has also found an interest in online identity creation. In her free time, (she laughs to herself), Robin enjoys knitting, baking, and spending time outside. Robin will be planning a caving trip this fall in Southeastern NM, so anyone interested can let her know!
Frances Walker is in the Master of Accountancy Program. Frances would like to share her twenty plus years of accounting experience with students interested in accounting. Using electives under the Master’s Program that cover the studies of pedagogy will provide her with useful tools for teaching. Acknowledging that technology is playing an increasing part in today’s studies, she has found herself taking a Computers and Writing class to enhance her ability to communicate with students using the many tools the internet has to offer. Watching movies and reading fiction (recently the True Blood book series) occupies any free time Frances might have.
