Using GoogleDocs

December 5th, 2009  •  Posted by English 579: Computers & Writing  •

Google Docs enables multiple people to collaborate simultaneously on the same document from any computer with Internet access. For example, a group of students assigned to work collaboratively on a project can write a document, keep track of their work in a spreadsheet, and create a presentation to share with other people involved in the project. When a student makes changes to the document, spreadsheet, or presentation, other group members can see them in real time and respond to them immediately. All students can work on the same documents, so there's no need to go back and forth, comparing and consolidating individual files.
