Inside the Moodle Workshop

This page continues from Moodle Workshop and discusses some of the features of the Workshop's scoring guide.

Images Six and Seven, below, show screenshots from the Moodle Workshop Specimen Assessment Form. Instructors can create as many assessment elements as needed and can set a variety of grade stipulations, as shown below. Every element includes a feedback section, creating the opportunity for written feedback. Since this workshop draws from Point, Reflect, Summarize activities in the Thompson Handbook, it asks students to quote from the essay they critique within the workshop. Thus, students are actively engaging with each other's essays as they workshop--they are not merely reading and reporting. They are commenting and cutting-and-pasting.
