Keeping Track of DMAC

Visualizing Influence Across Space and Time

Each DMAC Institute saw a rough balance between participating institutions with single-year attendance and participating institutions with multi-year attendance (that is, institutions that sent participants to DMAC for more than one year). The 2014 DMAC Institute, however, deviates from this pattern significantly. It favors one-time institutions by 70% and shows an unusually large number of participating institutions despite serving a standard number of participants. Future Institutes will reveal whether this represents an anomaly or a new trend in DMAC attendance. The next page examines the spans and intervals of attendance for institutions that send participants to DMAC for more than one year.
