Almost 55% of survey respondents reported that DMAC led to significant networking opportunities including co-authorship, publication and editorial contacts, hiring and recruitment connections, administrative collaboration, and long term scholarly dialogue. Almost 20% of survey respondents reported light networking such as conference meet-ups, social media communication, and occasional social dialogue. About 15% of respondents reported no networking results, but three fourths of those respondents qualified their feedback with mitigating circumstances (e.g., no longer in the academy, personal aversion to networking).
